Microblading Aftercare | The Do's and Don'ts! | Luxe Lashes

Arielle Davis, owner and founder of Luxe Lashes, a beauty studio in Richmond, Va., shares all about microblading aftercare maintenance!

With microblading, the appearance of your brows will definitely change for the bolder, beautiful. But not without some well-tended to after care. Remember, microblading does cut into your skin, depositing pigment that is next to permanent! Taking care of the skin where the microblading took place is similar to tattoo care. Here are a few must-dos when it comes to the best microblading after care!

During the first 7 days, do not let any water, lotion soap or makeup touch the brow area. This includes the shower! No splashing, beautiful! Carefully wash your face around your eyebrows.
No excess sweating. This means no saunas or intense work outs. (Yes, in the name of beauty, this is an excuse not to work out. #praise)
Do not pick at scabs or scratch your brows
Keep your hair (i.e. bangs) off of your brows
Avoid tanning. UV/UVA Rays or chemicals can cause premature fading in the pigment

After the procedure, the pigment will appear more natural looking. The day after, it will appear much darker. The overall healing process can take anywhere from four to six weeks, depending on your body regeneration and age. Every procedure requires a touch up appointment by the end of the six week healing period.

By sticking to this after care regimen, you will protect the longevity of your brows!
