Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first woman elected president in Africa, is quoted as saying, “The size of your dreams must always exceed your current capacity to achieve them. If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.” 

Well, beauties... I’m excited to share something with you that totally scares me. Luxe Lashes is in the beginning phases of opening up a second location. Yes, because of all of YOUR love and support, we’re expanding in order to serve you, and more of you, better!

You’ve probably seen the second half of the quote above posted across social media as an inspirational quote graphic. But, I believe the first sentence is just as powerful. As they say, “there’s no better time than the present.” 

So many of us have a tendency to wait until it’s “perfect” or wait until we feel “more ready” to start something. Sometimes that’s not how life works, beauties! What makes a full life are the lessons you learn by trying, failing, and trying again! 

We equate the word “ready” to the idea of having experience. I wasn’t ready when I first decided to open a lash studio. It was physically impossible for me to have been! In order to be “ready” I would have needed to have experience owning and running a lash studio. “Ready” isn’t a thing, beauties. Holding to that sense of the word “ready” is actually what keeps you from ever becoming ready!

You ARE ready when you are scared but willing to do whatever it takes to make your dreams a reality. The first step towards turning your dreams into a reality is a plan. Write down the first few action items it takes to make that dream become your reality. And then just BEGIN!

My hope for you is to go out there and collect as many life lessons as you can by trying, failing, and trying as many times as you can! Make collecting life lessons a challenge to be met each day and let that fuel you!
